The Pill Counter

Pharmacy technician math one step at a time, with the reason for each: reading a sig, days’ supply, how much to dispense, alligation, concentrations and dilutions, scaling a compounding formula, conversions and Roman numerals, pricing and profit, and storage temperatures. IV drip rates, doses by weight and body surface area are on the Dose Calculator; plain unit changes on the Measuring Tape.

For learning and certification-exam practice only. At work, always follow the prescription, the pharmacist’s instructions and your pharmacy’s procedures, and have the pharmacist check your work. The page never says what dose, quantity or storage a drug should have: every number comes from the problem you type (the storage ranges are the general USP definitions, and a drug’s own label always wins).
